Leadership is a Journey
The Art of Leadership in my mind is a reminder that leadership is an art; not a science.
There isn’t a formula where you do this, this, this and this, and all will be well.
It’s an art.
It’s an oil painting, not a watercolor and that you’re constantly able to update your own actions.
You can exercise leadership and then you can really listen to the feedback of what’s happening as a result of your actions, your words and then generally that leads to the need to add on or subtract or do something different.
A watercolor – once a paint is on the paper you’re stuck, you’re done. With oil you can keep working with it, keep massaging it and get it right.
So The Art of Leadership is the human art of influencing others and that’s a journey.
